Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sugarfork Baptist church with the Rev. James I. Vinson officiating. Burial was In the church cemetery. Mrs. Peek was born January 31, 1887, the daughter of Lee and Jane Moss Peek. In liMty she was married to C. J. Peek, who died a number of years ago. - Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Luther P. Moses, of Ellljay, Mrs. Pearl Pox and Mrs. Viola Peek, of Gneiss, and Mrs. Del ena Street, of Penrose; two sons, Prank, of Gneiss, and Carl, of Gastonla; 19 grand children and 24 great-grand children. Pallbearers were Lee Keener, Basil, Furman, and Adrian Peek, Ira Keener, and Oliver Moses. Arrangements were under the direction of Bryant Funeral home. PLAN GOSPE SERMONS BRO. Cabe Gets High' School Diploma Although he is in the armed forces, Pvt. Claude Max Cabe recently received his dipldtna from the Franklin High school. Pvt. Cabe was a member of the graduating class, but was drafted last December. He was awarded his diploma, however, under an order of the county board of education giving sen iors who are drafted before graduation their diplomas at the school year. Pvt. Hedden, at Cullasaja. A revival meeting and dally vacation Bible school are In progress at the Walnut Creek community church. Howard Keener, who has been working In Waynesboro, Pa., was on his way home when he was in ? a car wreck near Greens boro. His right arm was ser iously Injured. He came home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Keener have returned to Walton, N. J., to work after a short visit to the home of Mrs. Howard Keen er on Walnut Creek.
