They were joined by their daughter, Miss Merrily Brooks, of Charlotte. Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Hooker and children are visiting rela tives in Louden, Tenn. Miss Martha Ann Stockton is the guest of Miss Janet Parker in New Bern. Miss Stockton will .also visit her sister. Mrs. War ren Perry, of Kinston, before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dadten hoff, of Miami, Fla., arrived last week to occupy their home on the Wayah road for the sum mer. James Stockton has returned to the naval base in San Fran cisco, Calif., after spending three weeks' leave with his par ents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Horner Stockton. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sloan and daughters, of Raleigh, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Jones last week. Mrs. C. B. Brown has returns ed to her hfime in Dillard, Ga., after spending several weeks in Angel hospital. Mr. and Mrs, W. V. Swan and children, Billie and Susie, of Atlanta, Ga., visited friends here last week. Miss Freda Siler is visiting Miss Wilhemina Vander Kaaden at her home in Enka. Mrs. A. W. Reid, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Franklin, is spending the summer here. Don Martindale is visiting his parents in Pontiac, Mich. Pat.Pattillo, John M. Archer, III, and Richie Jones left Sat urday to attend Camp Hope near Waynesville, for two weeks. They will serve as counsellors. Mrs. J. K. Pattillo and grand daughter, Ann Durkee, of Ma con, Ga., are guests of Mrs. R. E. Pattillo and Mrs. Allen Siler. Mrs. Rebecca Patton, of Phil adelphia, Pa., formerly of Frank lin, was the guest last week of Mrs. J. E, Perry, Sr. Miss Dixie Lee Coe, of Athens, Tenn., was the guest last week end of Miss Betty Sharitz. W. G. (Gene) Baldwin last week was called to John Day, Oregon, by the illness of a rela tive. Miss Maxine Renshaw, who is employed in Charlotte, is spend a week's vacation here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gregory in Pontiac, Mich. They also plan to visit Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Green in Detroit, Mich., before returning home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Cabs and children visited friends and re latives in Robbinsville over the week-end. Miss Lester Huscusson and niece, Sandra Bostic, of Canton, Ohio, are visiting Mrs. Huscus son's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ledbetter, for a few days. Mrs. Katherine Sanders, of Longview, Wash., arrived here Sunday for a short visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Har ley Ledbetter, of the Cartooge chaye community. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brame and sons, Robeit and Lowell, of Or lando, Fla., are building a sum mer home on land purchased from Woodhurst Farm. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gray and daughter, of Sedro Wooley, Wash., are visiting Mr. Gray's brothers, J. S. and J. J. Gray, and other relatives here. Mrs. Carl Jamison has return ed home after a two-week stay at Fontana Dam. She was join ed there by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Robichaud and daughter, Linda. Mrs. Robichaud is the former Miss Carlyne Jamison. Mr. Rob ichaud has returned to their home in Glen Ridge, N. J. and Mrs. Robichaud and Linda plan to spend some time here with her parents.
