The state-wide campaign is
designed to encourage the pro
duction of high quality, low cost
grazing in the state's 100 coun
ties.
According to the county agent
duties of the committees will
include checking pastures of
farmers who qualify for the
campaign with either one acre,
or the state goal of one and a
half acres, of improved ladino
pasture, and forwarding certifi
cation to the state committee.
Farmers who qualify will be
presented certificates and let
ters of achievement.
At the end of the year the
10 counties in the state having
the highest percentage of farm
operators qualifying for certifi
cates will be recognized with
appropriate certificates and
trophies, Mr. Mendenhall said.
Sale of Real Estate for Taxes
Under and by virtue of the .power vested in nie by
the laws of the State of North Carolina, particu
larly, by Chapter 310 of the Public Laws of 1939 as
amended, and pursuant to an order of the Board of
County Commissioners, I will offer for sale and will
sell at public auction for cash, to the highest bidder,
at the courthouse door in Macon County at 12 o'clock
noon on Monday, September 3, 1951, liens upon the
real estate described below, for non payment of the
taxes owing for the year 1950; the name of the
owner or person who listed the real estate for taxes-,
the real estate which is .subject to the lien and the
amount of the lien being set out below. Reference is
made to the records in the office of the Register of
Deeds of Macon County and in the office of Tax
Supervisor for a more particular description of said
real estate. Notice is hereby given that the amounts
of liens, set out below arc subject to the addition of
costs as provided by law.
