Carpenter, Sr. Mrs. Robert Reese and son, Bobbie, of Ashevilie, were guests last week of her sister, Mrs. Gilmer Crawford. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Doles, of Greensburg, Ind., are guests of Mrs. R. L. Lichtenstein and Mrs. Louis Hirsch. Mr. and Mrs. William Bar field and two children, and George Moorehead have return ed to their home in Dade City, Fla., following a ten-day visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Lee McGuiness and two children, of Charlotte, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Reber. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sloan and daughters, of Raleigh, are vis iting Mrs. W. W. Sloan. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grant have moved into their new home on West Main street. Mr. and Mrs. George R. Pat tillo spent the week-end in Ma con, Ga.
