Eastern Star Installs Its New Officers Mrs. Esther C. Cunningham is the hew worthy matron of the Nequassa chapter ol the Order of the Eastern Star. She and other officers were installed at a service Friday eve ning at 8 o'clock at Slagle Me morial building. Others elected to serve with Mrs. Cunningham are James Hauser, worthy patron, Mrs. Helen Snyder, associate matron, Ed Whitaker, associate patron, Mrs. Nobia Murray, secretary, Mrs. Alice Ray, treasurer, Mrs. Blanch H. Parrish, conductress, and Mrs. Catherine F. Henry, associate conductress. John L. Orr, of Bryson City, past grand patron of the grand chapters of North Carolina, was the installing officer. He was assisted by Mrs. Florence S. Sherrill, installing marshal; Mrs. Irene Bryson, installing chaplain; Mrs. Genette Thomas, associate conductress; Mrs. Lil lian Cabe, organist; Mrs. Jose phine Long, warder; and Mrs. Beth Guffey, sentinel. The .retiring worthy matron, Mrs.. Molly Boltton was pre sented a past matron's pin at the installation service.
