PRIZE BULL WON F. F. A. ? North Carolina's hopes of winning honors at the Southeastern
fair in Atlanta, (ia., in September will rest with the young; Hereford hull shown above with several of
its owners. Franklin Future Farmers of America. The bull, from the Crossingham Hereford farm in Mount
Airy, was presented to the local F. F. A. chapter by the Sear.s Foundation and the N. C. Hereford associa
tion for winning first place in the state F. F. A. Bull Breeding contest, conducted from October 1, 1950,
to September 30, 1951. The contest was won with the Franklin chapter's prize Mill Iron bull. The young
Hereford brought here recently, will be fitted and s hown by the local F. F. A: boys at the Southeastern
fair as this state's 6ole entry, competing against seven bulls from other states. At right i.s Wayne Proffitt,
vocational agricultural teacher at Franklin High.
