Arthur Ranson, pas tor of Highlands Presbyterian church, will be the speaker at the first Easter sunrise service, to be held in the parking area on Whiteside mountain at 6:30 o'clock Sunday morning. Interest in this first White side service has been shown throughout the area in North Carolina ? Cashiers Valley, Whiteside Cove, Horse Cove, Norton, Glenville, and High lands ? as well as in both states | to the south, Georgia and South j Carolina, the Rev. Robert E. T A. at the April meet ing held Tuesday night of last week. Other officers Include Mrs. J. M. Valentine, vice-presi dent, Mrs. George Cleaveland, secretary, and Mrs. Harold Rideout, treasurer. At this meeting the land scaping program for the school grounds was set for May 10, the second Saturday in May. Workers will be asked to bring a basket lunch, and the women of the P. T. A. will serve cof fee and lemonade. The P. T. A. also is complet ing plans for the purchase of new stage curtains before the June high school graduation ex ercises.
