Reynolds, Former Macon Resident, Dies October 4 Joel Payton Reynolds, son of .he late Mr. and Mrs. James Reynolds, of Frai)klin, died Oc tober 4 in Pickens, S. C., at the ige of 67. Mr. Reynolds, who had been | living with Mr. and Mrs. Bethel j L. Davis, near Brevard, for sev eral months, was visiting his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hayden Rey nolds, in Pickens at the time of bis death. Funeral services were con ducted October 6 at the Brevard | Baptist Church by the Rev. B. W. Thomason and the Rev. Floyd Rare. Burial was in the Gillespie Cemetery. Mr. Reynolds was bqrn in Graham County on February 1, 1886, but spent most of his life here, where he was a farmer, carpenter, teamster, and saw mill worker. He was married to the former Miss Laura Ann Barnes, of Dahlonega, Ga., who died seven yeara ago. He was a member of the Forest Hill Bap- : tist Church. He is survived by two sons, j Harley, of Pickens, S. C? and ! John, of Brevard; a daughter,.! Mrs. Mamie Lee Boggs, of Pis gah Forest, Route 1 ; a sister, ! Mrs. Lewellyn R. Garren, also of Pisgah Forest, Route 1; and six grandchildren.
