Franklin and Tryon, were mar
ried at the home of the bride's
parents in Tryon on Monday,
August 9, at 6 p. m. The double
ring ceremony was performed
by the Rev. Ralph Banning,
former pastor of the bride.
The bride, given in marriage
by her rather, wore an ice blue
afternoon dress of Imported silk
with white accessories. She car
ried a white prayer book top
ped with a white orchid with
streamers of stephonotls.
Her only attendant was Miss
Myrtle Morris, of Tryon, who
wore a blue and white dress
with white accessories.
Leon Bridges, of Spartanburg,
S. C; served as best man.
A program of wedding music
was presented by Melvln Hlpps,
pianist, and Dr. George S. Vos
burgh, vocal soloist.
Following the wedding a re
ception was held.
The bride is a graduate of
Tiyon High School and has
been employed with the Tack
Shop in Tryon.
Mr. Jordan is with the Gas
for Less Service Station in Try
on, and served three years in
the army, with 27 months in
Japan.
