Phillips CpL Phillip* recently was pro moted to his present rank while serving as a jeep driver in Ger many with the 1st Infantry Division's 16th Regiment. He is the son of Mrs. Octia H. Phil lips, of Highlands, and has been in service since February, 1953. He has been overseas since September of that year. CpL Phillips' wife, Vivian, lives on Route 4, Fairfax, Va. Young People Conduct Meet By SUTTON RUSSELL (Community Reporter) The young people took over the meeting of the Clark's Chapel Rural Community De velopment Organization August 11 and a very Interesting pro gram was given with Jerry Sut ton acting as chairman. A piano solo was played by Miss Virginia, Garner and talks on cooperation were given by the Rev. Joseph Hauser and several young people. Bill Van hook, Guy Vanhook, Thomas Ammons, and Lucille Jennings tang a song and a movie was ihown by the Rev. R. D. B unl et te. During tho business session It was decided to finish the pic nic area and do more work on the church basement. Plans for a community house also were discussed.
