A., at its meeting October 18, voted to sponsor a harvest sale November 20, the proceeds to go to the Franklin School band. The event is to be held at the East Franklin School, and thai school's P. T. A. has accepted an Invitation to cooperate. The plan calls for the parents of each school child to send some item - potatoes, apples, pies, cakes, automobiles tires, or any other useful articles - to be auc tioned at the sale. The project was explained by Mrs. Frank Killian. The program dealt with the Franklin Garden Club's "Don't Be a Litterbug" campaign. Mrs. R. R. Gaines made a brief talk, and nine children, who designed their own costumes, presented a skit.
