Mrs. Thomas Harbison, repre senting the Highlands Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star, presented the citizenship a wards to Miss Lydia Crunkleton and Ervin Dendy Principal F. N. Shearouse pre sented awards to Miss Joan Cabe and Miss Crunkleton for their outstanding scholastic work in high school. Principal Shearouse also presented certificates to the winners of the annual field day event at Cullowhee. On behalf of the Woodsmen of the World Principal Shaar ouse presented history awards to Miss Crunkleton for making the highest a vera 9 e in the cla.? of American History Bobby Norton, a seventh grader, received a ?ift for his work in American History. Team Edges Sylva 7-6 The Highlands baseball team edged a close victory over the Sylva colored team Sunday. June 5. by a score of 7 to 6 A return game will be played in Sylva on June 18.
