Dr. Winstead Returns From Florida To Set Up General Practice Here Dr. George Ashby Winstead. who has been in private practice In Panama City, Fla.. for the past four years, has ripened offices in Franklin for the practice of med icine. His offices are in the Ashear t Building, over Belk's Department Store. A native of North Carolina. Dr. Winstead at one tine was associated with Dr. Furmaa An- j ?gel here. The doctor said he plans a general practice, in addition to Urology a field in which l\e spec ializes. A graduate of Wake Forest Col lege and the Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Winstead interned at the U. S. Marine Hos pital, Seattle, Wash., followed by 43 months in service. After being discharged, he was resident on surgery for 15 months at St. Joseph's Infirmary, Atlanta, Ga. He was then associated with Dr. Angel here for a year before re turning to Atlanta as resident on Urology for three years at Grady Memorial Hospital and the Emory University School of Med icine. From here he went to Pan ama City. Dr. Winstead is a member of the American Medical Association, the Southern Medical Association, and the southeastern section of the American Urological Associ ation. He has written and had three papers published in the "American Journal of Urology", and one paper in the "Urologic and Cutaneous Review".
