Dr. and Mrs. Roger McCutcheon
left Monday for Washington, D.
C., and other points in the north.
They will also go -to Ontario,
Canada, to visit Dr. McCutcheon's
brother, before returning to Frank
lin to spend the remainder of
the summer.

attended the Solemn Mass of
Thanksgiving, commenoratlng the
25th anniversary of the ordina
tion of the Rev. Howard V. Lane,
in Hendersonville last Wednesday.
Lunch was served at the Elk's
Zlub, following the mass. Father
Lane formerly served in Franklin.
Mr. and Mrs. Wasllik also visited
Mrs. A. R. Karling while in Hen
dersonville.

(Wednesday) to attend the Cen
tennial. She is the guest of Miss
