Mrs. Reese Sweepstakes Winner In Flower Show By JAN BURNETTE HIGHLANDS. ? "Parade of Stars", annual flower show sponsored by the garden club here, was blessed with a sunny day Saturday and an enthuaias tlc group of some 400 specta tors. It would be difficult to pick the finest part of the show; the artistic arrangements, the horticultural specimens, the commercial exhibits of various gifts and decorating shops, or the displays of special exhib itors. Garter won the tri-color with her gold band Illy, and the ar rangements tri-color ribbon was awarded to Mrs. Frank Cook for her artistic display of white gladioli and dahlias in an antlcrue white pitcher. Teilico Mrs. W. P. Payne, of Stanley, was in this section Sunday, vis iting her brothers, John and Vance DeHart, and families. She was accompanied by her grandson, Cecil West, and his friend, Miss Swineheart, also of Stanley. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hamil ton and family, of Briartown, visited Mrs. Hamilton's sister and brother-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Judd Smith, recently. The average cow gave 5,500 pounds of milk last year.
