COUPLE HONORED AT BUFFET SUPPER Miss Caroline Crawford and Lt Fred Henry were honored with a buffet supper Friday night at the Slagle Memorial Building before the rehearsal _ for their wedding. The hostesses were the bride's mother, Mrs. Gilmer L. Craw ford, and her sister, Mrs. Frank I. Murray, Jr., of Albuquerque, N. Mex. Bowls of white dahlias and gladioli were used, carrying out a bridal motif of green and white. MISS MILDRED MORGAN MARRIES CLYDE KINSLAND Miss Mildred Morgan, daugh ter of Mrs. Delia May Brendle, of Franklin, and Clyde Kins land, son of Mrs. Tom Kins land, of Franklin, and the late Mr. Klnsland, were married Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at the home of the Rev. Lee Craw ford. Mr. Crawford performed the double-ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Klnsland are both graduates of Franklin High School, and both are em ployed at Burlington Industries. MRS. Leo Bryan Hurst,, of Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wil- | liam Leo Hurst, of Franklin, ^ Route 4, on Sunday, September 4, at 4 p. m? in the Franklin j Methodist Church. A program of wedding music | was presented by Mrs. Henry W Cabe, organist, and Ray Fennelle, of Fort McPherson, soloist. The Rev. J. H. Brendall, pas tor of the Trinity Methodist Church in West Asheville, and uncle of the bride, performed the double-ring ceremony, as- ' sisted by the Rev. S. B. Moss, pastor of the church. Given in marriage by her , father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white Swiss organdy and lace, which had been worn by her maternal grandmother and her mother j on their wedding days. Her two-tiered veiT of Illusion was attached to a pearl tiara. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and tuberoses, centered with a white orchid. As an ornament, the bride wore a cameo belonging to a cousin, Miss Laura M. Jones. Miss Myra Crawford, former college roommate of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a ballerina-length gown of blue taffeta and lace and blue lace mitts. Her headdress was a tiara of mixed flowers and she carried a nosegay of pink car nations. Ruth Nolen, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a dress of blue dotted Swiss, made like that of the honor attendant, with a tiara of mix ed flowers and carried a nose gay of pink carnations. Mackle Brogdon, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer. Tom Stewart, of Fort Mc Pherson, served as beat man. and Ed Brogdon and 8am Hol land, both of Franklin, were ushers. Following the ceremony, the couple received the guests In the vestibule of the church. For a short wedding trip through the Shennandoah Val ley, Va., the bride wore a grey and white suit with black ac cessories and a white orchid corsage. Upon their return, the couple will reside In Atlanta. Mrs. Hurst Is a graduate of Franklin High School, attended Brevard College, Brevard and now holds a position with the Trust Company of Georgia, in Atlanta. Cpl. Hurst Is a graduate of Franklin High School and la now serving In the U. S. 3rd Army Band, at Fort McPherson.
