Maconians Are Appointed For Educational Meeting A dozen Macon County per sons were appointed last week by the state superintendent of public instruction as a commit tee to represent Macon County at the regional conference on education held in Asheville yes terday (Wednesday) afternoon. The twelve named are Erwin Patton, W. E. Baldwin, G. L. Houk, W. W. Reeves, Mrs. Flor ence S. Sherrill, O. F. Summer, Miss Lassie Kelly, Harmon H. Gnuse, Miss Nora Moody, E. G. Crawford, Jack Angel, and Weimar Jones. Also attending was County Supt. Holland Mc Swaln. The Ashevllle meeting was the last of six held in this state, In preparation for the White House Conference on Ed ucation, to be held in Wash ington the latter part of No vember.
