Buried On Saturday
Ira Frank Burch, of Cornelia,
Ga., and Franklin, died Friday
at 9 a. m. In a local hospital at
the age of 64.
Funeral services for Mr. Burch,
a carpenter and service station
operator, were conducted Satur
day at the First Baptist Church
by the Rev. M. W. Chapman, pas
tor, and the Rev. A. Rufus Mor
gan, Episcopal minister. Burial
was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Born October 7, 1891, In Towns
County. Qa? he was the son of
C. C. Burch and Mrs. Georgia
Sims Burch. of Swannanoa. He
worked as a service station oper
ator for Cornelia Motors in Cor
nelia. In 1911, Mr. Burch was
married to Miss Ruby Ann Hogsed,
?who survives.
Other survivors Include three
pons, Woodrow, of Cornelia,
Maurice, of Franklin, and Bob
Burch, of Hayesville; four broth
ers, James Burch. of Canton, Will
iam Burch, of Gastonia Herman
Burch, of Pisgah Forest, and
Charlie Burch, of Gainesville, Ga.;
five sisters, Mrs. Waco Carroll,
of Swannanoa, Mrs. James Icley,
of Black Mountain, Mrs. Edward
Devlin, of Canton, Mrs. Eugene
Craig, of Waynesville, and Mrs.
Tom Forrester, of California; and
12 grandchildren.
The following nephews were
pallbearers: Willis Hogsed, Evan
Hogsed, Allen Hogsed, Zeb Luns
ford, Benny Joe Craig, and Eugene
Craig.
Bryant Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
