Collin Wilcox To Marry New Yorker, Walter L. Beakel Mr. and Mrs. Jack H. Wilcox, of Highlands and Knoxville. Tenn., have announced the en gagement of their daughter, Miss Collin Wilcox, to Walter Lloyd Beakel. of New York City, son of Stanley C. Beakel. of Cleveland, I Ohio, and the late Mrs. Christina Stevenson Beakel. Mis& Wilcox is the granddaugh ter of Mrs. Howard Doane Ran dall, of Highlands and Cincin nati. and the late Mr. Randall, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wilcox, of Nova Scotia. She attended Westtown School, Westtown, Pa., and was gradu ated from West High in Knox ville. Before going to study at the Goodman Memorial Theatre in Chicago, she was active in the Knoxville Carousel Theatre while taking special courses at the Uni versity of Tennessee. For the past two summers. Miss Wilcox has been a resident member of sum mer stock companies. She recent ly finished touring in the East with Luther Adler in "View From The Bridge", after playing with him in the Chicago production last winter. Mr. Beaqel studied at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Chi cago Art Institute and Lake For est College before getting his M.F A. at Goodman Memorial Theatre. He studied in New York at the Berghoff Studio and di rected several off-Broadway the atres. A former instructor and director or at DePaul University and Lake Forest College, he has directed and acted in 11 seasons of stock. Most recently, he directed the Chicago production of "Waiting for Godot" for the Studebaker Theatre. The wedding will be solemnized in the Highlands Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Du pree officiating, on Sunday, Aug ust 11, at 3:30 in the afternoon. No invitations are being sent, but close friends of the family are invited.
