Miss Betty Dale Pressly Is Married To John Milton Archer, III, Friday Miss Betty Dale Pressly. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wil liam Prcssly, Jr., of Charlotte, be came the bride of John Milton Archer. Ill, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Archer, Jr.. of Franklin. Friday evening at 8 o'clock at the Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The Rev. James E. Fogartie per formed the ceremony, and the wedding music was played by Eu gene Craft, organist. , Given in marriage by her fath er. the bride wore a formal gown of candlelight peau de soie and beaded French lace, fashioned with short shirred sleeves, deep portrait neckline, and full skirt with a back draped effect. Her veil of imported silk illusion was attached to a cap of matching lace. She carried a bouquet of or chids. fleur d'amour. and tube roses. II Miss Ida Mitchell Robinson, of Jackson. Miss., was maid of hon or. Her gown was of mint green | taffeta with Empire lines. She car ried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and chrysanthemums. Bridesmaids were Misses Betsy Vernon Bost, of Charlotte. Margot C. Hammond, of Greensboro Mary McNair Jones, of Richmonc , Va.. and Mary Sudduth Shaw, o Charlotte. The bride is a graduate of Salem Academy, Winston-Salem, attended Hollins College, and was graduated from the University ol North Carolina , where ;:he was a member of Delia Delta Delta sor ority. She made her debut at the | Charlotte Ball in 1953. The groom is a graduate of Franklin High School, attended Davidson College and the Univer sity of North Carolina. He i? a senior in the School of Dentistry at the University, where he is a member of Sigma Chi social fra ternity and Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity. After a wedding trip to Sea Is land. They wore gowns identical to that of the honor attendant in pastel shades of orchid, yellow, blue and pink respectively. They carried chrysanthemum nosegays of pink, I orchid, lavender, and white, re spectively. David Wilson, of Jacksonville. The bride's mother chose for | her daughter's wedding a street length gown of rose lace over rose taffeta with white accessories. Her corsage was a purple orchid. The groom's mother wore a street-length dress of blue with white accessories and a purple orchid corsage. Following the ceremony, a re ception was held in the social room of the church. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Edwin Setser, Mrs. Siler Slagle. and Miss Laura Mae Cabe. Mrs. Wilson is a graduate of Franklin Hirh School and received her nurse's training at Fast Ten nessee Baptist Hospital in Knox ville. Phc received a degree from Tennessee Temple Bible School iVi Chattanooga, and Is now employed at Woman's Hospital in Chatta nooga. Mr Wilson is a graduate of Toccoa Falls High School. Toccoa Ga.. and received a degree from Tennessee Temple Bible School and attended Tennessee Temple College He is employed by Gentry Contracting Company in Rossville, Ga After the reception, the couple left on a wedding trip. For travel ing the bride wore a brown dress with white accesories and the orchid from her Bible. Upon their return, they will be at home in Rossville. BANANA SALAD 2 packages lemon gelatin 1 No. 2 can sliced pineapple ( Gained > 2 large bananas, sliced Prepare gelatin by directions. Chill until partially thickened Cut pineapple in bite size pieces and add with bananas to Jello. Chill until firm. T?p?ini l2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons flour 1 cup pineapple juice 2 eggs, well beaten '/? teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin V4 cup water 1 cup whipping cream 1 cup grated sharp cheese Soften one tablespoon plain gelatin with '/? cup cold water Mix sugar, flour, salt and juice. Stir in beaten eggs and cook in heavy saucepan until thickened Stir in softened gelatin and mix well. Chill until partially thicken ed. Fold in 1 cup cream, which has been whipped. Pile lightly on geltain layer. Sprinkle shredded cheesee over top. Chill. Serve or lettuce. Crackers are good accom paniment.
