Mrs. Dorothy Sescie SUM Correspondent Telephone S2&-J-4 Vacancy Filled The Holly Springs W.M.U. met at the church Monday night and elected Mrs. Doyle Miller to serve out the remainder of Mrs. Jack Cabe's term as president. Mrs. Cabe has resigned because of ill ness in her family. > New members who joined the society were Mrs. Will Talley and Mrs. Kenneth Young. Mrs. Young will serve as membership chair man. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Jess Cochran, of Cumberland. Ky? are spending several days visiting Mrs. Coch ran's sister, Mrs. J. B. Deal, and other relatives in the county. Week end victors of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Johnson were Mr. Johnson's brother, Clyde Johnson, and his family, of Pensacola, Fla. Wayne Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs Bob Taylor, who has been working in Chicago, 111, this sum mer. has arrived home for a visit with his parents before entering N. C. State College. Miss Minnie Seay and Mrs. Jack Cabe are on the sick list' this week. Miss Seay Is confined to her Metijodist Circuit Conference Slated A quarterly conference ot the North Macon Circuit will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Snow Hill Methodist Church. The Rev. P. C. Smathers. of Lake Junaluska. district superin tendent. will speak at the 11 o'clock service. home. Mrs. Cabe Is under treat ment at Angel Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Don Seagle and family spent the week end in Hendersonville visiting Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Osborne and family. They attended the W. N, C. Fair Saturday night. Into 1 cup lukewarm buttermilk dissolve 3 tablespoons butter, 1 yeast cake, y? teaspoon soda. 1 tablespoon sugar. Mix well with other ingredients. Make into, dough. Knead until very smooth.
