Do w die was elected pastor of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Sunday Mr. Dow dle has accepted the church and will serve on a part time basis. He met with the members at Wednesday night prayer meeting this week to woilt out a schedule for the services Prayer Meeting The weekly prayer meeting service of the Watauga Baptist Church will be held Thursday (tonight > at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Clouse. The service will begin at 8 pm Groups To Meet The Brotherhood, Royal Am bassadors and Girls' Auxiliary of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church will meet Saturday night. October 4. at the church at 7:30 o'clock Recital'Singlnc A good crowd attended the piano recital and singing held Saturday night at the Ridgecrest Baptist church. Those playing the piano were Yvonne Buchanan. Brenda Thompson. Frances Ann Berry. Leon Buchanan, and Michael Smith. A special feature of the program was the playing of the piano by Doris Thompson three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs Jim Thompson. She played two songs on the piano. "Jesus Loves Me" and "Tell Me the Story of Jesus". A choir made up of the children sang, and a solo. "Jesus Loves Me", was sung by Patsy Smith. The Training Union di Mr. Dowdle rector, Jim Berry, was in charge and was assisted by Mrs. Moltor Buchanan. Georgia Picnics .
