Saturday Afternoon Wedding Here Unites Miss Phillips And Meech Miss Patricia Louisa Phillips, daughter of Mrs. Louis Brian Phillips and the late Mr. Phillips, of Franklin, became the bride of Frank Richardson Meech, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. G. Meech, of Columbia, S. C? Saturday, June 20. at four o'clock in the St. Agnes Episcopal Church. The Rev. Ralph K. Webster, chaplain of Christ School, Arden, and the Rev. John W. Tucker, rector of St. Agnes, offiicated at the double-ring ceremony. The wedding music was pre sented by Mrs. H. W. Cabe, organ ist, and Mrs. Charles Gidney, soloist; Mrs. Gidney sang "O Per fect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer". The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Roy M Biddle, Jr., wore a dress of imported chantilly lace and net over taffeta. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a portrait neck line and the long lace sleeves ended in calla lily points over the hands. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was at tached to a tiera of seed pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white roses, centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Roy M. Biddle, Jr., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a street-length sheath dress of blue lace over taffeta, fashioned with a sweetheart neck line and a bouffant overskirt oi blue net. Her headdress was a leaf bandeau of matching net, with a half-veil attached. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Bridesmaids were Miss Lasell Light, of Asheville, Miss Leah Sut ton, of Sylva, and Miss Carolyn Bryson, of Franklin. Their dresses were identical to the one worn by 'the matron of honor, and they carried bouquets of pink carna tions. Flowergirls were Betsy Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Jenkins, and Carol Porter, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Porter, of Salisbury. They wore floor length dresses of white organza, embroidered and scalloped in blue, styled with a bolero and a wide blue sash. They carried lace bas kets with white and blue stream ers, and scattered petals of pink carnations. Mr. Meech served as his son's best man. The groomsmen were Michael Mungo, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Columbia, S. C., David Harris and David McCul lough, of Christ School, Arden, and Richard Jones, of Franklin. Mrs. Meech is a graduate of Franklin High School and Western Carolina College, Cullowhee. For the past year, she has been a member of the faculty of the Clyde A. Erwin High School in Buncombe County. Mr. Meech is a graduate of Chirst School and Clemson College, Clemson, S. C. For the past three years, he has been a member of the Christ School faculty.
