Duncan, Shopping Center Building, Has Contributed Much To Town's Growth When Frank B. Duncan moves the offices of his Franklin Realty Company, its only natural that the move is being made into a new shopping center built by him self. Since he came to Franklin in 1940. Mr. Duncan has never stood still for long. He has been one ?of the town's foremost leaders In its development in recent years. Mr. Duncan has been a licensed real estate broker since 1953 and it has been one of his trademarks to improve property and build seme addition to the town on it before selling. The latest example of this is The Franklin Motel, a 40-unit court he built on Palmer Street in 1955 and\old in 1959. When Mr.\ Duncan came to Franklin in 1940, he opened a Ford agency in the building which is now home of THE PRESS. Some time later he bought out the English-Mashburn Motor Com pany on Main Street and moved the agency to Its present location, adding new offices, shop, and showroom. In 1953 he sold out to a partner, Charles Conley, the present owner Also in that same year, Mr. Dun can was one party In a group that bought out the stock in The Bank of Franklin. This group reorgan ized the bank and Mr. Duncan was elected president. At one time he also owned the Franklin Drive-In Theater and he is now co-owner of the Frank lin Lodge and Golf Course.
