was guest speaker at Carson
Chapel Sunday. Dr. L. B. Hayes is
scheduled to speak next Sunday

while repairs are being made on
the parsonage.

community.
The women of the church will
serve supper to the Methodist
Men's Club at the Carson Com
munity Building Saturday night to
raise more money for the build
ing fund.

Dies August 13
In California
William Robert Ramsey, 32, son
of Mrs. Robert Ramsey, of the
Telllco community, died Saturday.
August 13, In Long Beach, Calif.,
after an illness of 10 weeks.
He had lived In Long Beach for
the past 10 years and was a mem
ber of the First Baptist Church
there.
Services were conducted at noon
on the 16th in the Dllday Chapel
there by Dr. Ervin F. Austin, pas
tor of his church. Burial was In
the Forest Lawn Memorial Park
in Hollywood Hills.
In addition to his mother, sur
viving are a brother, Sam Ram
sey, of Charleston, S. C? and five
sisters. Mrs. Lola Howard, of Long
Beach, Mrs. Jessie Chesnut, of
Los Alamltos. Calif., Mrs. Virgin!"

Misses Ruth and Nancy Carole

union was held Sunday. August

Greene, who has been elected
teacher of the class, was present.
Mrs. Dan R. Reynolds, who was
celebrating her birthday, was pre
sented a corsage by the group and
birthday cake and other refresh
ments were served.
