Mr. Fred Cash, formerly with the Bright
Belt Tobacco Warehouse was in Vass last
Monday on business.

were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs.
W. J. Cameron, this town.
Mr. Lacy Fry, of Midgeville, Ga., is
spending the holidays with his friends and
relatives in and around Vass.
Ma L. a. Jordan, our popular tonsorial
artist, was a visitor in Aberdeen and San
ford last Monday on business.

Mrs. Henry Borst, who has been seriously
ill, we are glad to note, is now conveles-
cent.
Mr. M. C. Thompson, of the Palmetto
Brick Company, of Cheraw, S. C., was in
Vass last week on business with Mr. A.
Cameron.
Mr. Z. S. Boone, of Greensboro, who rep
resents the Mergenthaler Linotype Com
pany, of New York, spent last Friday at
the Pilot office.
Mrs. Louise Matthews and Mrs. Ida
Matthews, of Siloam, were visitors at the
home of Mrs. Henry A. Matthews, one
day last week.
Mr. A. R. Laubscher, of Raleigh, spent
the week-end with his family in Vass,
and entered his name on the Pilot’s sub
scription books.
Mr. Duncan McCrany, of Vass Route 2,
who was seriously injured a few weeks
ago, when his horse ran away, we are glad
to note was able to make a trip to Vass
last Saturday.
Mrs. Alton M. Cameron with her little
daughter, who have been spending the
past two weeks with her father. Dr. J. F.
McKay, of Buis Creek, have returned to
their, this town.
' Miss Vivian Matthews had as dinner
guests last Sunday the Misses Annie Mc
Gill, Jessie Brooks, Lois Sanford and Ag
nus Smith. Everything eatable was in
abundance, especially wild turkey and
venison.
