Sat. 9:30 PERSONALS Rev. M. D. McNeill, pastor of the Pres byterian Church, this town, was a very pleasant visitor in the Pilot office Thurs day- Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Borst and little son, Henry, were visitors to friends and relatives in Cameron last Sunday. Mrs. Luther C. Wallace, of Carthage, is spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Tyson. Mr. Alfred Pendergast, of Moncure, who visited his daughter, Mrs. John Morrison, this town, has returned. Mr. Ledwell, of the Seaboard Milling Company, of Sanford^ was a caller at the Pilot office Wednesday. Messrs. Hugh P. Kelly and Leland F. Person, of Carthage, were visitors to friends in Vass last Sunday. Misses Marie and Stacey Matthews, of Siloam, have entered the Vass Graded School to take a special course in the higher grades not taught in other schools. They are making their home with their uncle. Mr. Henry A. Matthews. Mr. Neill B. Sinclair, of Raeford, was the guest- of Miss Eula Rae Griffin last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Richard I. Matthews, of Siloam, was the week-end visitor with his brother, Mr. Henry A. Matthews. Mr. Henry A. Matthews spent a portion of this week in Raleigh attending the convention of the Grand Lodge of Masons. Mr. and Mrs. Walter B. Graham spent last Monday in Sanford. Miss Rosa Churchill after spending the week-end with her sister, Mrs. T. G. Gun ter, has returned to her home, Moncure. Mr. William Thomas, of Siler City, was in Vass part of tnis week on business. Dr. R. G. Rosser, of tnis town, attended tiie Moure Oouaty ivieaicai Society, last weeK at Carthdge. Mr. A. K. The Medical Society of’North Carolina, will meet this year at Pinehurst, on April 26, 27 and 28. The Health Officers As sociation will also meet at the same placc on April 25. No doubt the session will oe well attended, as Pinehurst is an ideal place for just such meetings. * In another part of this paper Neill Mc- Keithen announces that he has opened a market where can be fouud at all times resh meats, fish and oysters of the finest lind. Encourage the new market instead of going out of town. Rev. A. 0. Keller, pastor of the Aber deen Baptist Church, occupied the pulpit here last Sunday and preached to an ap preciative audience. The next preaching will be held the third Sunday of the month. hese services will become regular and Sunday School will be held each Sunday morning at ten o’clock.
