NEW ORGANIZATION FOR VASS UP-TO- DATE BUILDING From time to time the Pilot has been agitating the formation of a building and loan associtation for Vass, and surrounding country. For a while the matter hung fire, but we kept at it, until a last it is on good footing and enough names of respon sible persons, have been secured to make a building and loan association an assured success. Within a week or two a meeting wil be called for the purpose of forming an organiza tion and electing officers. Any in formation desired on the subject by those wishing to join will be gladly given by calling at the Pilot office. Keep it in mind. Plans are now being drawn by an out-of-town architect for an up-to- date building to be used when com pleted as a drug store and barber shop. As soon as the blue print is finished bids will be asked for the construction of the building, which will be something entirely new from any other business place now in our town. Let the good work continue. JACKSON SPRINGS Miss Birdie Thomas who holds a position at High Point was operated on for appendicitis on Wednesday at a High Point hospital.
