The property they are going to sell on the first day is confined entirely to Aberdeen. The morning will be taken up by the selling of several manu facturing sites and the sale of ^ some of the last remaining choice residence lots in the district near the new $75, 000.00 school building. In the after noon they are going to sell some colored property in the Berklyn sec tion of Aberdeen. On the next day—the 19th—“Mid- Towns,” their new sub-division mid way between Southern Pines and Ab erdeen on the State Highway, will be offered in lots and tracts. Negotia tions are now under way for the hard surfacing of this highway which will mean that the sub-division will get the full benefit of it. It will not be long until both sides: of the highway will be built up between Southern Pines and Aberdeen and there will be a great demand for these “Mid- TTowns” lots and tracts in the next few years. They are a good invest ment from a speculative standpoint and appeal right now to the man who Statement of the Ownershp, Manage ment, Etc., required by the Act of Congress of August 24, 1912 OF THE WEEKLY PILOT published at Vass, North Carolina for April 1, 1923 State of North Carolina, County of Moore, ss. BETTER START EARLY The tinie to keep disease-carrying flies out of the house is before they get in. And in view of the fact that but a few weeks will elapse until these pesky creatures will be coming down on Vass in swarms, a suggestion along this line is most timely. Put up the screens or the mosquito bar now, instead of putting it off until the house is so full of flies that you are forced to do it in self-protection. You’ve time, too, to mend any breaks there may be in the screening, or to give them a good coat of paint if u will improve the appearance. start this good work early, and W us see if we can’t, by giving the house fly the hardest battle he ever had keep down the amount of sickness in our community the coming summer Let’s try to make this the healthiest summer we have ever had in the his- tory of this community. With the arrival of warmer weather we would caution our readers against eating fast.
