The correspondent wishes to correct
an impression which some may get
from the statement that “some of our
tourists arrived here in the blizzard
of January 6th.” I should have said
“from the blizzard,” because a big
storm was raging north, and we al
ways get a drop in the temperature
here when it is very cold there.

Tliat Knollwood Sale Last Week
Tells the Story of
Knollwood Prospects
When a new road was begun a few weeks ago to connect
Southern Pines and Knollwood Village, and building sites
were staked out, and notice was given five days before
the sale that a sale would be held, and that sale disposes
of some seventy lots at a minimum of $150 a lot in a
couple of hours, it is clear that Knollwood Village has the
unbounded confidence of people who are figuring on
homes and on investment.
Knollwood Village
Will be one of the most favored centers of development
in the state and the prices asked now for locations are as
cheap comparatively as the prices of twenty dollars an
acre that prevailed in the neighborhood five or ten years
ago for similar land.
This stuff is moving right along, but prices nver move
but in one direction. Better make your selection while
you have so much to pick from.
