LAKEVIEW Miss Laland Frye, of Benson, called on Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Eastwood Sun day. Frank Briscoe and son, Jack, left last week for their home in the North. We are very glad to report that Mr. and Mrs. W. H. McNeill are again able to be out. Miss Alice McDonald, of Flora Mac donald College, Red Springs, was the week end guest of Misses Loula and Johnsye Eastwood. They accompan ied her back to the college Monday morning. We are sorry to state that little Miss Katherine Everett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Everett, feJl and broke her arm while playing last Thursday. Joe McRachin has returned from a stay in Florida. Angus McQueen called on Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McQueen Tuesday. The deep well is in the digging process. It looks, with the present progress, like we are going to have water soon. Herbert Mclnnis was in Turkey, N. C., Sunday. Misses Loula and Johnsye East wood, Alice McDonald and Selma Smith were dinner guests at Hotel Vass Sunday. Mrs. W. M. Whisnant, of Raleigh, was a caller in town one day last week. On account of the music recital and other reasons the community Club meeting was postponed until the fol lowing Friday, which will be April 5. Miss Josephine Vick, of Union Church, was the supper guest of Miss Alma Mclnnis Thursday night. Sunday evening. Miss Alice McDon ald, of Flora McDonald College, was the guest of honor at a delightful picnic supper at the Lakeside Inn, fol lowing a motor trip to Pinehurst and other points of interest in the Sand hills.
