CHURCH, SOUTH Jefferson, N. C., March 1st, 1927. Mr. T. T. Cole, New York City. Dear Sir: I had been a^ sufferer for more than fifteen years with stomach trouble. I had been thoroughly examined by X-ray and Chemical analysis of the stomach. The doctor found free blood and ulcers. I could not eat any kind of meat, without la|*ge ulcers coming on my tongue, lips and mouth- I al most suffered death at times with ulcers and severe headache. I had to continually take some kind of a laxative, following the laxative a rash or eczema would break out over my body. I had tried about five doc tors and would only receive tempor ary relief. I feel that I was providentially sent to Ashe County by the Western N. C. Conference. I learned through friends of the Shatley Radium Springs and began to drink and bathe in the water. I have not had to take a laxative more than two or three times in a year, and now even eat any kind of mea<ts without evil effects. I scarcely ever feel any e-f fects of my former trouble. I weighed 184 pounds when I came here and now weigh 216, and feel fine. I have no doubt but that the Shatley Radium water is the greatest in America. (Signed) J. L. REYNOLDS. NISSEN BUILDING WINSTON-SALEM, N. C. COPY OF TELEGRAM SENT FEBRUARY 18TH, TO THE NEW YORK EVENING POST New York City By DOCTOR R. E. REEVES Your wire to Dr. Colvard referred to me. The Radium Springs in Ashe Coun ty, North Carolina, are in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is the most favored spot in the whole country for a resort, both for pleas ure and health, and when once thor oughly developed should prove a mecca for those who are seeking health as well as pleasure. This water has long enjjoyed the reputajtion of having superior medical properties and many remarkable cures have been attributed to its use. It seems to have a selective affin ity for dermal affections. Many ob stinate and seemingly incurable skin troubles hajve yielded to its use and many that the greatest dermalogical specialists in the country had failed to cure. All forms of eczema seem to be readily affected by using this water. Rheumatism and gastro intestinal disorders are benefitted and many times cured. The high, points of Ra dium the water is said to contain should make this an invaluable part of the treatment of cancer and can cerous conditions. Radium now takes the lead in the treatment of most all forms of can cerous conditions and the high ra dium output from the Spring should make it the ideal spot for thle suffer er from this terrible malady. Many stomach diseases such ais Gastric Catarrh and Gastric Ulcer, have seemingly been cured at these springs. Hundreds of people from all sec tions of the country attest to the virtues of the great healing proper ties of the water. Thousainds of people visit the Springs annually and hiundredg go away feeling that they have found the fountain of youth and health. (Signed) R. E. REEVES, M. D.
