He had not noticed that it was upside down, and it took some explanation to find out whether Monte figured that Smith would land tl\at way in November, or if an tv-cident had occurred when the button had been put on. Knollwood Heights Planning for Fall A year ago the plows and the grub hoes and the clearing forces and the road and water lines crews were the sole sign of creation at work at Knollwood Heights. Then in October commenced the first movement of building sites to the hands of buyers. With the year not yet ended 97 build ing sites have been bought, and today a group of almost a dozen fine structures are built or building on the north side of Midland road and west of the Pine Needles fairways. That is a record without a parallel. When with this is included the Fine Needles and all that it comprises the whole thing is marvelous. But it looks now as if the year that will begin with the first of November is to sur pass the one that ends then. In the first place the coming year sees several buyers with house plans under contemplation, while last year at this time not even a lot-buyer contemplated buying a lot. Then many persons are looking over Knollwood Heights now as a place of in vestment or home-maKing when a year ago no one had thought of such a thing. Now the roads are built, the water lines and sewers down, the community is estab lished, the golf courses are finished, the double Midland road is almost finished, and Knollwood Heights is a distinctive go ing concern as against a project then. And now a lot of strong capital is back ing the Knollwood development. Some of the leading men and women of the coun try are investors there and will be home owners. imutui KNOLLWOOD A YEAR AGO WAS A PLAN TODAY IT IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. Today it is the nucleus of one of the big things of Central North Carolina. Knollwood Started a Year Ago with a Map. It starts its second year as the ideal heart of the Sandhills. You will want to be in on this opportunity. See— KNOLLWOOD, IRCORPORATED PINEHURST, N. C. Or Any Accredited Real Estate Agent ^ , in Southern Pines, Aberdeen or Pinehurst.
