"Aunt” Lou Harrington, a worthy and industrious colored woman, who owned a neat, comfortable house on the Raeford Road, a mile from town, had the misfortune to lose her hou.<!e by fire Saturday morning. Their many friends will regret to learn of the serious illness of the in fant son of Prof. and Mrs. E. S. Tem ple of Rutherford College. The child is in a hospital in Hickory, where be ’ underwent an operation some dayn ago. Prof. and Mrs. Temple taught in the Cameron school for flve years, and have the sympathy of the towns* people.
