Keith, over the week-end. Mrs. W. P. Parker and Tomm> Gschwind of Raeford visited in th’ Gschwind home Wednesday, ana Tommy remained for a longer stay. After spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Frank Jeffreys, Miss Emily Laubscher returned last week to High Point. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Temple and Misses Dorothy Matlock and Sara Edith Matthews visited Mr. Temple's relatives near Chapel Hill Sunday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lucien B. Fry have named their first son, who arrived July l^th, William Brooks. Their three little daughters are Rebecca, Ruth and Rachel. Miss Marian Cameron spent last week-end in Enfield with Miss Kath arine Lewis. Clyde Cox, Jr., of Sanford is spend ing this week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Cox. His father was here for a short while Sunday. Mrs. J. S. Bundy and Mrs. J. R. Bundy of Raleigh and Mrs. Albert Green of Wilmington visited Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Edwards during a part of last week, and attended the wedding of A. G, Edwards, Jr., and Miss Mar garet McDermott at Cameron Wed nesday evening. Mr. and Mis. Richard Griffin and children and Mr. and Mrs. Don Suits and family of Hamlet visited Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Griffin Sunday. Miss Louise Leslie was at home from Wake Forest College for a week end visit with her parents, Mr. ana Mrs. V\'. C. Leslie. Miss Bessie Cameron went to Ral eigh last Friday to enter summer school at State College. Misses Elizabeth Osborne and Vir ginia Blanchard, Joseph Carr and Steve Mallard, all of Wallace, were Sunday dinner guests of Miss Eliz abeth Keith. Miss Keith accompan ied them to Carolina Beach, to chap erone her basketball team on a week’s outing. Miss Gala Lee Nunnery of Eliza bethtown, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vin son and family of Roseboro and Mrs. Hazel McKenzie of Eastwood were Sunday visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Corbett. Miss Lizzie Jones and a party ot friends of King visited in the W. F. Alexander home near tov,-n Sunday, and called on Mrs, Bertie L. Mat thews in the afternoon. Herman Parker spent the week-end at White Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Coley Snipes and little daughter have taken an apart ment in the A. K. Thompson home. Mr. Snipes is the druggist in Vass, but had been residing in Lakeview. Misses Cornelia and Emily Camer on and Katrina Beasley and R. P. Beasley and Elmer Cameron spent j Sunday at White Lake. Hayes of Dunn visited Mr, and Mrs. Bryce Griffin at the G. W. Griffin home Sunday evening. Mrs. W. J. Cameron returned Mon day from a ten-day visit with rela tives in Hamlet. Dr. and Mrs. R. G. Rosser and daughter Janet visited Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Cameron and family of Broad way Thursday. Miss Anna Laubscher came home from Laurinburg last Satuiday and plans to leave tomorrow for High Point for training in the Guilford General Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Gladstone, Ed ward Gschwind and John Alex Smith spent Thursday and Friday in Raleig.n where Mr, Gladstone and the boys attended the ninth convention of the Young Tar Heel Farmer Association at State College, Mr. and Mrs, Dick Bro\»’n of Kan sas City, Mo., were over-night guest.s in the home of Paul Gschwind an:i family Friday. Mrs. Brown is a dau ghter of Mrs. Ed Gschwind of Kan sas City. E. B. Stanton of Mullins, S. C., spent the week-end with his sister, Mrs. Charles Gschwind. and his little daughters, Bobbie Jean and Barbara, who had been here for three weeks, retuined home with him Monday. Mr. and Mrs, T. F. Culbreth of Raeford and Mrs, Algie McRae and daughter Betty of Detroit, Mich., spent Monday with Mrs. Annie Chap pell and Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Chap pell. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Messengill. Mr. and Mrs, Hubert Massengill, Miss Bessie Massengill .and little Billy Massengill, all of Four Oaks, spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs, George W. Koustenis. Misses Jessie and Eloise Brooks visited Mrs. Nqlan Benfield and Missi Ada Overby in Angier Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs, A. G. Crissman and son Albert visited Miss Moverine Crissman in Washington, D. C., for a few days last week. N. N. McLean attended a meeting in Durham Monday of his ambulance company in the World War. Mrs. A. M. Cameron and son A. Mac returned Tuesday from a stay of ten days with relatives in Buie’s Creek. Tyson as a committee to out line plans for procuring new hym nals for the church.
