THE PILOT, Southern Pines and Ab«rdeea, North CaroBna Page Sevea Third of 1,700 Farms in County Measured Soil Conservation Program Here Well Along, County Agent Garrison Reports Approximately one-third of the more than 1,700 farms in Moore county have been measured under the soil conservation program, Coun ty Agent E. H. Garrison. Jr., reports. Work is being rushed as rapidly as possible in order to complete the measurement before schools and col leges open in September as the ma jority of those doing the field work will return to school in the fall. Reports on the cotton planted in the county must be in by August and work is being rushed especially on these. Tobacco and grain reports may be turned in later. The majority of the tobacco farmers exceeded their allotments. Note books fillers, typewriter and second sheet packets 5 cents at Hayes.
