Player Scores Deuce on 10th Hole.— IVJany Arrivals Golf hit a ne‘*f high this past week at the Pine- Needles when scores of golfers toured the fairways in earn est endeavor to beat ole man par. The outstanding feat of the week went to T. A. McGowan, 3rd. of White Plains, N. Y. Playing in a four-ball match with M. G. Edwards and N. J. Booker of New York, and professional Johnny Capello, Mr. Mc Gowan scored a deuce on the 381-yard 10th hole. Numbered among the honeymoon- ers enjoying the hospitality of the Pine Needles this season are Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Chadwick, Jr., of Phila delphia, Pa., who aiTived Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick, devotees of bicycle-riding and golf, are partici pating in their favorite pastimes daily. Mr, and Mrs. William Minot* of North Stamford, Conn., have arrived to join Mrs. Minot’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur L. Summings of Green, wich. Conn.
