Remember how it was out
there in the Pacific, or on that
march to Germany? The main
thing then was to get home.
You’d put up with just about any
thing that might hasten your
getting home.
But now that you’re home,
you’re mighty impatient about a
lot of things that are going to
cost you through the no^e if
you endulge yourself in getting
them immediately—^rather than
waiting a few more months.
You’re home. That’s the main
thing.
When the urge to buy yourself
a car hits you, throw that switch
in your head and put yourself
back to a year ago. Recall’ what
you put up with then. Remember
how long you waited to get home.
. and then decide to wait a few
more months to get that car.
If you get it now you’ll pay
more for a car that’s at least four
years old than you will in a few
months for a new one that will
outlast the old car you get now
by many years.
Hang onto that dough, yet.
You’re home. The push is over. .
and the future is a lot more im
portant than the fleeting pres
ent.
CHURCH OF WIDE
FELLOWSHIP
“For Emergencies Only” will
be the sermon theme for the elev-
len o’clock morning service at
the Church of Wide Fellowship
on Sunday, May 19.
The forum meeting at eight
o’clock Sunday evening will be
‘An Hour of Poetry.”
You are invited to make this
your church home while away
from home.
Because of illness, I have been kept at my
home here for several days, and it will be impos
sible for me to call on you in person before the
Democratic Primary of May 25th.
I wish to say to you that I am a candidate for
a second term as Solicitor of the 13th District. I
am standing on my record in office during the
past four years, and I assure you that if nomin
ated and elected, I will honestly and faithfully
discharge the duties of the office to the best of
my ability.
Having the highest regard for the fine Citi
zenship, and for my hundreds of friends, in the
six Counties of the District, I shall be satisfied
with the result of their action in the Primary.
I wll deeply appreciate your support at the
Primary on Saturday, May 25th.
Gratefully yours,
EDWARD H. GIBSON
