A BUY To Honor the|Dead— and Help the Living War did not end on V-J Day for some 100,000 Americans in uni form, confined to Government Hospitals. War did not end for countless thousands of other veterans of World War II who for the rest of their lives will remain scarred both physically and mentally by the horrors of war. Thous ands of AEF vets of’17-18 can tell you this is the unescapable truth... after 27 long pain-racked years. What these veterans have given is beyond price. What you give when you “Buy A Poppy” on Memorial Day is your way of showing your fell ow man that you realize what has been sacrificed by others.. .that you want to do your bit for the thousands for whom war cannot end.
