I want to thank you, publicly, Chief Newton, and your police department,
for discovering the fire that destroyed Jack’s Grill and severely damaged my en
tire building.
Most particularly do I want to express my great appreciation for the man
ner in which our fire department handled the fire. It was stubborn, most diffh
cult to reach and the heat, fumes and smoke intense. You, Chief O’Callag
han and your entire Department, were superb. To be called out at 6:20 on
Christmas morning for such a job is no pleasant matter and my deepest thanks
go to you all.
