Walters of Raeford and daughter and son-in-law M!r. and Mrs. W. J. O’Rorke of Hem- stead, L. I. N. Y., visited D. A. McLauchlin on Monday after noon Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Cameron spent the weekend in Buies Creek with Mrs. Cameron’s relatives. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McMillan spent Christmas day and Monday in Selma and Smithfield with rel atives. Mrs. McMillan remained for a longer visit. Mrs. W. J. Cameron suffered a heart attack at the home of her son, J. B. Cameron in Manly. Mrs. Cameron has been in the Camer on home since her son-in-law, S. R. Smith suffered a stroke on De cember 14 and was taken to Moore County hospital, Pinehurst. Mrs. Smith remains at the bed side of her husband. Mr. Smith was moved to a convalescent home in Southern Pines on Tues day. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Phillips and Mrs. Phillips’ daughter, Peg- gy Briggs, moved Tuesday tO' East End, N. C., where Mr. Phillips will be employed. Mr. and Mrs. George Koustenin and children of Arlington, Va. spent Monday and Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Cameron. Ret. Lindy Wilson, of Fort Jackson, spent the Christmas hol idays with his parents, Mr. and Mts. Roy W. Wilson. Miss Leslie Katherine Taylor cf Fassifern School, Henderson ville, spent Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Tay lor. Miss Mary Catherine Blue, who is taking a Beauty course at Ra leigh is home for Christmas. Ret. Bobby Crabtree of Fort Jackson, S. C., arrived home Thursday for six days leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Crabtree. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Keith and Miss Nealie Keith spent Christ mas day in Albemarle, with Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Byrd and family. James Ray McLean, BM3 of Norfolk, was home for the week end. Ret. Bobby Klingenschmidt, of Fort Jackson, S. C., was home for Christmas. Miss Agnes Cameron, of Wash ington, D. C., arrived Friday night to spend Christmas with her fath er, D. A. Cameron and sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McLean and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Mashburn were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hay wood Jackson in Godwin on Sun day and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Baker and daughter of Sanford have moved to the home of Claude’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Baker, on the Little River road. Billy Bob McGill, of Fort Jack- son, S. C., spent a few days at home Christmas. Miss Blanche Sturdivant spent Christmas with her sister, Mts. Clarence Freeman, in Biscoe, and was joined by the other members of the family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Griffin and children and grandson of Hamlet, the Ray Griffins and children of Charleston, S. C., were Christmas guests in the Griffin home. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Chappell and daughter. Miss Joanne. Chap pell, spent Christmas with rela tives in South Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Callahan and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Callahan’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Smith on Carth age RFD. Mb. and Mrs. T. Frank Cameron and Miss Jennie Cameron of Cam eron RFD were hostesses at a Christmas dinner at their home on Christmas day. Guests were members of the family: Mrs. Ber tie Matthews and son Franklin Matthews, of Fayetteville, Mrs. G. W. Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Read of Bridgewater, Mass, and Miss Eloise Brooks, of Buies Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Davis and children, Jeff, Marion and Kent of Crewe, Va., were lunch eon guests of Mrs. P. A. Wilson on Saturday. Sgt. Buster Jessup, of Barks dale, Shreveport, La.,' spent a 5 day furlough at home. L. S. Jes sup joined the family for Christ mas. Mrs. Hugh Sharp and infant daughter, Deborah Ann, arrived from Lee County hospital, San ford, Saturday and is staying for a while at the home of her sis ter, Mrs. D. F. Cameron. L. D. Thomas, of Carthage, Rt. 3 returned to his home from Moore County hospital, Pinehurst on Saturday. Mr. Thomas is im proving some. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bullock and daughter, Marjorie Leslie, of Sparta, Tenn., arrived Saturday for the Christmas holidays with relatives. " Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Simmons, of Greensboro, spent Christmas with Mrs. Simmons’ mother, Mrs. Annie Bell Gilliland and Mrs. W. J. .A.llen. Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Smith and son, Mac, of Dobson, spent Mon day until Wednesday with rela tives here. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Spald ing and daughter Jeanette of Owings Mills, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mileitich of Falls Church, Va., Mr. and Mrs. ,G. C. Culler, of. Manly, were Christmas dinner guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Crissman and family. The Spaldings returned home Monday and the Miletichs will remain for a vacation with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Graham, Jr., and children, “B” and Mary Lou of Graham, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Graham and daughters of Walterbcro, S. C., and A. R. Gra ham of Sanford, were guests of their mother, Mrs. W. G. Graham during the Christmas season. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Gladstone returned Thursday from Forsyth, Ga., where they spent Christmas with Mrs. Gladston’s relatives . Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Taylor and family left Saturday morning for Florida to visit Mrs. Taylor’s rel- .atives. » Miss Helen McRae and Buddie McRae left Sunday morning for Griffin, Ga., to visit Jimmy Har ris, a navy friend of Buddy’s. Misses. Frances and Judy Daw son, of Sanford, spent Monday with Mrs. B. C. McRae and fam ily- Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Phillips, Herbert Phillips, Mrs. W. M. Briggs and son Larry, and Peggy Briggs spent Sunday with Miss Carrie Phillips in East Bend. The employees of the Angus Mills, Vass, were entertained at a turkey diner on Friday at the Hotel Charmella. The dining room was decorated with Christ mas colors and a lighted tree held gifts for all. Christmas carols were enjoyed. In the drawings, Mrs. Annie Ruth Davis and Mrs. D. F. Cameron won boxes of candy and Mrs. Roland Bass and Kenneth Hins- ley won 25 lb. turkeys. ' Guests in addition to the em ployees were Mr. and Mrs. Max Forrest of Southern Pines, and Mrs. Norman Epler and son, Nor man, Jr., of Lakeview. Every resident owner of a motor vehicle operated in the Town, except motor vehicles tem porarily operated for a period of time not exceeding a total of thirty (30) days, and except motor vehicles operated for car display or car exhibition purposes by car manufacturers or dealers, displaying dealer’s license plates issued by the State of North Carolina, shall register such vehicle with the Town Registrar of Motor Vehicles, at the Office of the Town Clerk. Every motor vehicle operated on the streets of the Town for which registration is required, shall throughout the current year display the assigned Town number plate in such manner in front or rear as to be visible at all times.
