Home Demonstration Club News
Rainbow Club
Salad magic was the conversa
tion topic at the May meeting of
the Rainbow Home Demonstration
Club held in the home of Mrs.
Lacy McRae.
It was a leader’s meeting and
RCA WHIRLPOOL
AIR CONDITIONERS
conducted by Mrs. Charles
Gschwind in the absence of the
foods leader. The dining table
was lovely with the colorful ar
rangement of eleven different sal
ads.
They were later served and
were delicious. Recipes were ex
changed.
Members discussed the best
types of salads to enhance a meal
with dressings to compliment
each one. Weight watchers count
calories and ears were alert for
the most satisfying ones in low
calorie group.
Home improvements continue:
new closets, screened porch, refin
ished floors, house underpinning,
painting and asbestos siding have
been added to as many various
homes since the April meeting.
It is gratifying to see the pro
gress of comfort and beauty going
forward in the rural areas.

into the club by Dr. Wofford C.
