with resolution adopted by the
Town Council of the Town of
Southern Pines in regular session
assembled on the 8th day of May,
1956, where and when the prop
erty herinafter described was de
clared to be no longer needed for
any public purpose, notice is here
by given that the undersigned,
Town Clerk, will offer for sale at
public auction, to the highest bid
der, at the front door of the Town
Office, at 113-115 N. E. Broad
Street in the Town of Southern
Pines, North Carolina, at 12:00
o’clock, noon on the 26th day of
June, 1956, those certain lots or
parcels of land situate in the
Town of Southern Pines, McNeiU
Township, Moore County, North
Carolina and more particularly
Being all of Lots Nos. 49
and, 50 and that portion of
Lots Nos. 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56
and 57 lying east of the east
ern boundary of the new U. S.
Highway No. 1 by-pass, all of
said lots being those shown on
that certain map entitled:
“Piney Woods Estates, South
ern Pines, North Carolina,”
which map is on file'in the
Town Office of the Town of
Southern Pines.
This sale must remain open 10
days from the said 26th day of
June, 1956, pending any upset or
increased bids, and this sale shall
be subject to the approval and
confirmation of the Town Council
of the Town of Southern Pines.
