Brurber, Aberdeen, recently was graduated from the ammunition supply spe cialist course at the Ordnance School,Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Barber was trained to command ammunition handlers receiving, storing, issuing, and transporting ammunition and explosives. Barber entei;ed the Army last March and received basic training at Fort Jackson, S. C. He attend- Mrs. Susie Bruce, 82, Died Sunday At Robbins Home Mrs. Susie A. Bruce, 82, died Sunday night at her home on Route 2, Robbins. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Brown’s Chapel Church with the Rev. Bennie Maness officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Bertie Allred, Mrs. Lizzie Allred, and Mrs. Emily Allred, all of Rt. 2, Robbins, and Mrs. Tis- sie Sheffield of Robbins; two sons, Robert and Dan, both of Route 2, Robbins; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Britt and Mrs. Meta Freeman, both of Star, and Mrs. Dora Hancock of Biscoe; one brother, William Britt of Biscoe; 57 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 35 great- great-grandchildren. ed Aberdeen High Schpol. Homan, com mander of the 11th Airborne Divi sion’s 188th Infantry Regiment, in Germany. A scout observer in the regi ment’s 3d Battalion Headquarters Company, Smith entered the Army in July, 1954, and cdmplet- ed basic training at Fort Jackson, S. C. He is a 1954 graduate of South ern Pines High School. Wildlife Club To Meet Tuesday At Leavitt’s Lake The Moore County Wildlife Club will hold a regular monthly meeting at Leavitt’s Lake Tues day, September 11, at 7:30 p.m., it was announced today by Clyde Auman, president. The meeting will consist of a fish supper followed by a business meeting. Auman urged that all members of the club be on hand for the meeting as a number of important business matters affecting the fall program of the club will be dis cussed.
