The Rev. William A. Brown, pastor of the Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, is guest speaker lor the event, which will begin at 11:30 with Church School. A picnic lunch will be served at 12:45, and will be followed by Rev. Brown’s address. The chapel is located five miles west of Pinehurst on the old Jackson Springs Road. Paving Completed On Section of US 15-501 The State Highway Commis sion completed 123.74 miles of road improvements in the 8th Highay Division during August, Forrest Lockey of Aberdeen, 8th division commissioner, said to day. In Moore the biggest project completed was paving the new location of US 15-501 from NC 27 near Carthage to NC 2 near Pinehurst, a distance of 10.4 miles. By contract. Brown Pav ing Company paved the new highway with sand asphalt. The new road has a 24-foot wide traf fic lane.
