Captain Stutz is Atlantic Fleet Headquarters Medical Of ficer on Admiral Wright’s staff. He is the son of Mrs. D. G. Stutz and the late Mr. Stutz of Southern Pines, and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he received his AB Degree, and the Medical College of Virginia, where he was graduated as an MD. He interned for two years at New York Polyclinic Hos pital, New York City, and practiced medicine for five years in Southern Pines, before entering the Navy as a Lieutenant (jg) in 1941. Captain Stutz spent three months at the Norfolk Navy Yard Dispensary before reporting for duty as Medical Officer on board the USS GUADALUPO. Since that time, he has served at the U.S. Naval Hospitals in Philadelphia: and Memphis, Tenn., was medicEil officer aboard the USS OSTARA and has had exten sive duty with the Fleet Marine Forces, U. S. Atlantic Fleet. His last -duty station prior to reporting to his present duty on Admiral Wright’s Atlantic Fleet Staff was Medical Officer for the U. S.
