Cole, superin tendent. More than a thousand people from the 10 states and Puerto Rico are expected at the meeting, which will feature Gov. Hodges as speaker for the opening ses sion. On tap for special sessions of the convention are discussions on •‘‘adequate medical care in rela tion to expanding welfare serv ices,” “gaining perspective of the needs of older people,” and dem onstrations of psychiatric con sultation. Tobacco Buyer Is Reported Missing Leon Garrison, a buyer for American Tobacco Company, has been reported missing since Sun day from both his home ini Pam lico, S.C., and his job in Aber deen. He had not been found Wednesday night. Garrison was last seen at a rel ative’s filling station in Pamlico Sunday morning, where he cashed a $15 check and asked if “anyone wanted to go to Aberdeen.” His brother, a patrolman in South Carolina, called the place he was staying in Aberdeen and found that none of his belongings were missing.
