I. M. Bagnal officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Venable of Idlewood Circle, Charlotte. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Sessoms of Pinebluff. The bride attended Charlotte College and the University of North Carolina, She is employed by Southern BeU Telephone Co. Mr. Sessoms is a graduate of the University of North Caroina and is with the army, stationed at Fort Jackson. The couple will live at 430 Queens Road, Char lotte. Family Dinner Sunday was a day for family dinners. Mrs. J. R. Lampley had her family for the day for their Christmas dinner at the Home Demonstration Club House. Pres ent were: Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Lampley and children of New Bern; Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Fou- shee and sons, Langston and Ger ald, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Luns ford and daughter, Debbie, of Durham; Mr. and Mis. Bill Lampley and children of Biscoe; Mr. and Mrs. Royce Anderson of Charlotte, and Maj. and Mrs. Everett Ussery and children, who have just returned home from San Antonio, Texas. Also Mr. and Mrs. R. G. McCaskill and chil dren and Mr. and Mrs. Earl i ^^ampley and daughter Earlene. ] ' Attbiher family together for the day on Sunday was the C. F. Leavitt family. They gathered for their annual Christmas din ner at the Leavitt home. *Enjoy- ing the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Leavitt, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Goldston and son Forrest of Raleigh and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks and Terry Brooks of Al bemarle. Mrs. G. W. Lee was hostess to her children on Sunday for a family dinner at her home at Ad- dor. All of her children were present for the day and a number of grandchildren. Mrs. Lee re turned to Tabor City with her daughter, Mrs. Ruey Hewitt, and Mr. Hewitt for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Marian Sessoms of Charlotte spent the Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Sessoms. Miss Linda Tarlton of Clarks ville, Va., spent Sunday night with her aunt, Mrs. E. F. Pickier, and Mr. Pickier. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Tarlton and daughters, Ann and Linda, were their guests for Christmas dinner. Mr and Mrs. John Adams spent Christmas in Norman with their daughter, Mrs. Frank Low- dermilk, (and Mr. LowdermUk. Mr. and Mrs. James F. Boone and sons, Frankie and Daw, of Raleigh joined them for Christ mas dinner. The Rev. and Mrs. James W. Hamilton had as their Christoas eve dinner guests Misses and Novia Jordan of Siler City and Mr. and Mrs. John Jordan and son, Eddy, of Wajmesville Lt. and .Mrs. W. E. Amos of Silver Spring, Md., were at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Troutman, during the holidays. Maj. and Mrs. J. E. Ussery and children have returned to Pine bluff from Fort Sam Honston, San Antonio, Texas, where Maj. Ussery had been stationed for the past six months. The Usserys have moved into the Goodnight home. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Elmore and daughter Susan of Greens boro spent Christmas with Mrs. Elmore’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hearn. The Rev. and Mrs. G. W. Crutchfield and daughter Rhon da of Elizabeth City, visited Miss Olive Cook and Mr. and Mrs. E. | F. Pickier on Wednesday. j The Rev. and Mrs. James W. Hamilton and son Bill spent Christmas in Troy with Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Hamilton. On Wedns- day they went to Columbia, S;. C., for a visit with Mrs. Hamilton’s mother, Mrs. M. F. Laird. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Wilson and 'Mrs. Ann Jones of Charlotte vis ited Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Carpen ter, Sr., Christmas day. Christmas Party Nineteen members of the Young People’s Class of Ives Memorial Baptist Church met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Carpenter for their Christmas party on Thursday evening. Games were enjoyed and re freshments served. Mrs. Clinton Doss is teacher of the class. They presented her a gift. Annual Party The annual Christmas party of the adults of Pinebluff Methodist Church was held at the church Friday evening. Preceding the party the group met in the sanc tuary for an hour of organ music and the singing pf Christmas carols with Mr. Theodore Webb at the organ. They then went down to the basement where they enjoyed an evening of fun together. Party refreshments were served to the forty guests present.
