Children under 12 in cars Free $7500 Suit Filed Against Hospital Wilson Lea,' acting pn behalf of his son, John Wayne Lea, 11, has filed civil suit against Moore County Hospital for $7,500 for in juries the youth received last August 2 when struck by a car driven by Edwin, T. McKeithen, longtime employee of the hospi tal. The suit claims that the acci dent was caused by negligence on the part of Mr. McKeithen in not maintaining a proper look out, not sounding his horn, and for driving in a careless and reckless manner. The accident occurred about 2 p. m. August 2 on Highway 15- 501 a few miles north of Pine- hurst. The papers on file in the courthouse allege that Mr. Mc Keithen came up behind the young boy, who was riding a bi cycle, struck him and threw him from the bicycle. The suit al leges that the boy was uncon scious almost two days and suf fered other injuries which have resulted' in hospital and medical bills of slightly more than $700. W. D.
