Died Sunday; Rites
Held Here Tuesday
Nicholas L. Gibbon, 83, died
early Sunday at St. Joseph of the
Pines Hospital after a short ill
ness.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday at Powell Funeral
Chapel, conducted by Dr. C. K.
Ligon, pastor of Brownson Mem
orial Presbyterian Church. Burial
followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
He was born in Derita, attend
ed Mecklenburg County Schools
and graduated from N. C. State
College with an engineering de
gree. After extensive travels
throughout the world he and his
wife came some 30 years ago to
Jloore County to live, purchasing
a home at Lakeview. For several
years he operated a hardware
business here. Two years ago they
moved into Southern Pines and
have been making their home at

Whereas, it appears to my sat
isfaction, by duly authenticated
record of the proceedings for the
voluntary dissolution thereof by
the unanimous consent of all the
stockholders, deposited in my of
fice, that the Robbins Housing
Company, a corporation of this
State, whose principal office is sit
uated in the Town of Robbins,
County of Moore, State of North
Carolina (Frank T. Roberts being
the agent therein and in charge
thereof, upon whom process may
be served), has complied with the
requirements of Chapter 55, Gen
eral Statutes, entitled “Corpora
tions,” preliminary to the issuing
of this Certificate of Dissolution:
Now therefore, I Thad Eure,
Secretary of State of the State of
North Carolina, do hereby certify
that the said corporation did, on
the 17th day of December, 1956,
file in my office a duly executed
and attested consent in writing to
the dissolution of said corporation,
executed by all the stockholders
thereof, which said consent and
the record of the proceedings
aforesaid are now on file in my
said office as provided by law.
